Youth Ministry

Mission Statement
 
The mission of the Youth Ministry is to build a powerful faith-based ministry that will religiously educate, motivate and empower our youth with the Word of God. To nurture and equip them to develop a more positive and constructed relationship with Christ; to instill in them to stand boldly, not fearful and share the good news of Jesus Christ in their homes and community.
 
The ministries that fall under the Youth umbrella include:
  • Youth Director of Christian Education -
The Director of Christian Education meets quarterly on the 4th Tuesday night at 7 pm. with youth educators for planning & selecting educational material for Sunday School & Youth Bible study.
 
  • New Generation Choir -
Rehearses the 1st Tuesday of each month, from 6:30 -7:30 p.m.
Children ages 3-10 are welcome to join
 
  • Youth Adult Bible Study -
Taught in parallel with Sunday School during winter months; every 2nd Wednesday night from 7:30-8:30 p.m. during the summer.
 
  • Junior Church -
Every 1stand 3rd Sunday of each month during 11 a.m. Worship Service.
Teachers: Dianne Ewell & Bernadette Miles.
 
  • Resource/Guidance Counselors -
Two members that assist high school students with tutoring and college preparation.
 
  • Events/Activities/Social Planner -
A committee of four members who meets monthly; plans all activities and social events for the Youth Ministry.
 
  • Performing Art (Liturgical Praise Dancing & Mime) -
Liturgical Praise Dancers rehearse 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month from 10 – 11:30 a.m.  Age for The Little Seeds range from 3 -10. Praise & Rhythm dancers are 11 to 18 years of age.
 
  • Fundraiser -
Committee of three members that do all fundraisers for Youth Ministry.
 
  • Financial Advisor - Treasurer for Youth Ministry.
